U Lu Tin

(b. 1930, Myanmar)

U Lu Tin was taught by another prominent artist in Myanmar named U Ba Thet.
For Lu Tin, he mostly produces watercolour and his subjects mostly used for his paintings consists of Upper Burma landscapes of rivers and hills, trees and plants. Yet in the most subtle forms, he has managed to capture what would be considered 'magnifying' periods of each time of a day.
His works are completed within a relatively fast timeframe, taking no less than 20 minutes. However, he gives a longer thought to how he wants the end result to look like instead.
Slanting towards giving an overall green monotone to his works, it shows the natural features of the Chindwin region.
