Maritta Nurmi
(b. 1994, Vietnam)
Maritta Nurmi's artistic practice includes painting and installation. Her works transitioned from colours to metal such as silver, aluminum or copper as she settled to Asia. Reason being that, metal reflected a good allegory for the possibility of dialogue between cultures of West and East in her life encounters. Maritta Nurmi continued to explore different materials for her works to better speak for itself as she got deeper into the meaning of life through science, philosophy and religion.
